Position Summary
The Seasonal Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment--excluding Order Picker, Turret, and Drexel--for the receipt, storage, and fulfillment of product. This role ensures product safety, quality, legality, and integrity while supporting efficient warehouse operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform full-case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
- Retrieve and put away pallets in narrow aisle bulk rack storage systems.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines using equipment or manual handling.
- Sort and build product pallets to meet customer specifications.
- Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
- Complete pre- and post-equipment checklists to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate storage locations through daily cycle counts and inventory tasks.
- Perform other distribution functions as needed based on business volume and operational needs.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift).
Skills and Competencies
- Must meet all PPE and fall protection requirements.
- Ability to work on equipment at extended heights.
- Strong sense of urgency and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented and strong team player.

If the incumbent resides in the province of Quebec, Functional French (written and spoken) is required.
