Description

Responsible for administering global policies, procedures, and standards related to enterprise criminal background and personnel screening programs for external candidates, contingent workers, regulated positions, and criminal charge investigations for current employees. Making suitability decisions and vetting pre-employment candidates with criminal backgrounds, ensuring that individuals who have interacted with criminal justice systems are given fair opportunities while also considering regulatory requirements and the safety and security of our people, customers’ property, and FedEx brand.

Essential Functions:

  • Makes and implements suitability decisions and vets pre-employment candidates with criminal backgrounds, ensuring that individuals who have interacted with criminal justice systems are given fair opportunities while also considering regulatory requirements and the safety and security of our people, customers’ property, and FedEx brand.
  • Provides technical and program expertise of personnel-related criminal screening, continual vetting, risk assessment, and mitigation efforts globally.
  • Administers global policies, procedures, and standards related to enterprise criminal screening and continual vetting programs.
  • Leads large project/programs supporting department strategies, working with cross-functional teams to prioritize efforts.
  • Analyzes business processes to recommend strategic solutions, representing management, providing presentations, and acting independently on behalf of Global Security.
  • Supports, trains, and mentors Security Insider Threat Analyst team members.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on criminal screening programs, related regulatory programs, and continuous vetting programs.
  • Maintains relationships with multiple internal business partners, external screening suppliers, and Government agencies, and auditing functions.
  • Creates executive-level reports and presentations related to Security Insider Threat objectives, mitigation results, financials, and processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent


Minimum Experience
Seven years professional experience in law enforcement, insider threat/risk, social justice, transportation security, emergency management, or other related fields.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Emphasis in criminal justice, corporate/airline security, threat/risk management, legal studies, or social justice.
Proven ability to design, develop and implement projects, programs, solutions, and process improvements from concept to successful implementation.
Strong human relations and communications skills.
Expert-level knowledge of criminal justice, threat/risk management, corporate/airline security and regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge and experience in advanced approaches, demonstrated ability to lead people and/or large-scale project/programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft products focusing on professional presentations, process flows, and data collection.
Proficiency in Quality Driven Management methods of process improvement.
Ability to obtain and maintain required security credentials and clearances.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law.
