Security Specialist
Description
Provides security oversight and asset protection. Conducts investigations into thefts, workplace violence, and other detrimental activities. Ensures regulatory compliance by developing relationships with emergency command centers, and maintaining security case load and information systems.
Essential Functions
- Supports the effort to provide risk mitigation efficiently and effectively, provide security oversight and asset (People, Assets, & Brand) protection within several FedEx locations.
- Provides comprehensive security services to assigned location(s), coordinating and communicating with others as needed, including: peers, management, legal and other internal resources, and external resources, including law enforcement.
- Tracks and reports on key Security network goals and metric and effectively addresses product loss mitigation, physical security considerations, and potential workplace violence incidents by means of investigations and conducting interviews when appropriate.
- Serves as department's liaison to engage, coach, and train business partners on security matters as the security subject matter expert.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent.
Minimum Experience
One (1) Year airline security or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Microsoft-based computer programs and the ability to prepare investigative summaries and detailed reports. Knowledge of anti-terrorism operations.
Must be bondable and qualify for a commission as a law enforcement/private officer in the city/county/state where based. Ability to complete required training programs.
Good human relations and investigative skills, communication skills, and writing Skills.
