Senior Clerk/Coordinator, Air & Ocean Operations
Description
To provide internal/external customers with the highest quality service by handling operational documentation to ensure timely shipping arrangement and shipment closing.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handling all Ocean shipping documentation.
- Responding promptly to customer and internal stakeholder enquiries.
- Ensuring work accuracy and full compliance with customs procedures.
- Coordinating shipment requests with customers and shipping partners.
- Communicating with carriers to secure export bookings.
- Providing proactive updates to customers on shipment progress.
- Declaring customs permits.
- Coordinating pickup and delivery arrangements.
- Updating key shipment milestones in the operations system promptly.
- Preparing sales invoices and matching purchase invoices with vendor costs.
- Maintaining shipment trackers and operational reports.
- Performing other duties assigned by management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE
Academic:
- GCE ‘O’ Level and above
Experience & knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Customs Preferential CO and Rules of Origin (ROO) (Preferred).
- Familiarity with Non‑Preferential CO application is preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in shipping documentation and/or customer service, ideally within Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
- Experience in an implant role is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the CargoWise (Freight Operations System) is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; additional local language proficiency is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
