Senior Engineer - Operations Technology (DWC, Dubai)
Are you a seasoned Engineering or Technology professional ready to drive significant impact in a global logistics powerhouse?
We are seeking a talented and strategically minded Senior Engineer - Operations Technology to join our team at Dubai World Central (DWC). In this critical role, you will be instrumental in deploying and leveraging advanced operational and automated systems, directly shaping our future performance in the Middle East logistics hub.
You will act as a trusted strategic partner, applying your technical and analytical expertise to ensure our Operations Technology capabilities are world-class, aligning with our People-First, Performance-Driven culture and contributing directly to our regional business goals.
What You Will Do:
- Strategic Advisory: Provide expert technical advice and counsel to senior and executive management on emerging operational technology trends, practices, opportunities, and risks.
- Automation & Innovation Leadership: Be the driving force behind the analysis, interpretation, and strategic application of complex operational data to influence optimal business decisions, with a core focus on automation and advanced operational systems.
- High-Impact Project Leadership: Lead and influence high-impact, cross-functional projects and initiatives, translating strategic vision into tangible, successful operational deployments.
- Future-Oriented Strategy: Proactively drive strategic planning for the adoption of next-generation operations technology, supporting teams to achieve optimal, future-proof results.
What You Will Bring:
We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic professional who can seamlessly bridge the gap between traditional engineering/operations and cutting-edge IT systems.
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in a planning and engineering environment, with a demonstrable core focus on automation processes and the adaptation of advanced technology within a dynamic operational setting. Experience within the logistics or supply chain industry is highly advantageous.
- Strategic Acumen: Exceptional ability to think strategically, conduct sophisticated analysis of complex operational and technical information, and translate critical business needs into effective, automated operational solutions.
- Technical Expertise & Mindset:
- Solution-Driven: A proven track record of developing and deploying robust technical solutions.
- Independent Thinking: The capacity to innovate and make sound, autonomous technical decisions.
- Process Automation Champion: Demonstrated success in process automation and a relentless passion for finding innovative ways to boost operational efficiency and optimize workflows using technology.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering or computer sciences, complemented by proven exposure to and application of IT principles for the development and management of advanced operational and automated systems.
