 Job Summary

Supports initiatives across internal and offshore teams within the Line Haul Air department.

Under minimal supervision, designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Responsible for complex concept design through the full development life cycle. Prepares and conducts systems programming test requiring interfacing and software tests. Coaches others in less senior positions.

The Software Engineer team is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for enhancements and new products. Responsible for routine concept design through the full development life cycle. Prepares and conducts system programming tests requiring interfacing and software testing. Documents various software programs with flowcharts, visualizations, diagrams to ensure all users have a full understanding through development cycle.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

  • Experience in UI and API development to expose the data insights generated from AI/ML data models and pipelines.
  • Experience in developing the microservices for APIs using Springboot, Python, and Kotlin, and Integrate UI with JSON APIs and other distributed systems.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript UI ecosystem, including Angular and React.
  • Experience with responsive layouts, CSS grid frameworks and CSS preprocessors.
  • Experience with streaming frameworks like Kafka
  • Experience in driving the software development lifecycle including the modern testing strategy and virtualized data strategy for autonomous component testing.
  • Experience in enabling the product for operational visibility through proper instrumentation like Dynatrace, App Dynamics and Azure App Insights etc.
  • Experience/knowledge in containerization (Kubernetes) and infrastructure as a code (terraform).
  • An ‘engineering’ mindset, willing to make rapid, pragmatic decision to improve performance, accelerate progress or magnify impact.

 Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.

 Minimum Experience

Three (3) to Four (4) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

  • 3-5 yrs experience in API development using Spring Boot
  • 2-3 yrs experience with modern JavaScript UI ecosystem, including Angular and React
  • 3-5 yrs experience with streaming frameworks (Kafka or similar) 



Preferred Qualifications:  

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: National Pay Range: $8,973 - $13,460 Monthly

Domicile Information:

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

May be required to occasionally work outside your time zone. On-call one week per month.
