Software Engineer Lead

NOVA platform introduces an intelligence layer that convert raw logistics data into context-rich business insights that fuel automation, decisioning, and innovation.  
Using Nova, we are able to predict and prevent a high-impact supply chain disruption. We trigger the right playbook, orchestrate agents and stakeholders to resolve it autonomously. 

The Software Engineer team is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for enhancements and new products. Responsible for routine concept design through the full development life cycle. Prepares and conducts system programming tests requiring interfacing and software testing. Documents various software programs with flowcharts, visualizations, diagrams to ensure all users have a full understanding through development cycle. 

Responsibilities: 

• Perform code reviews, developer testing and debugging for all features of the project.

• Design and document new/existing software solutions using diagrams, flow charts, dashboards, and reports. 

• Conduct proof-of-concepts using new software tools/ libraries, programming techniques, and emerging concepts to identify areas for advancement of the project. 

• Coordinate with the development team(s) to increase collaboration and productivity, reducing dependencies where possible. 

• Coordinate with the product and engineering managers to provide technical details and status updates for new/existing features. 

• Provide technical instructions and assist with the prioritization of work items across numerous agile ceremonies (sprint planning, story grooming, bug triage etc.), while maintaining InfoSec compliance requirements for open-source software, code quality, bugs and vulnerabilities. 

Minimum Education 

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.  
   

Minimum Experience 

• + 7 years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. 

• Programming languages such as Java and Python.

• Comprehensive knowledge of databases (Cosmos, SQL, Postgres, Liquibase). 

• Technical documentation and experience with data visualization tools. 

• Hands-on with Azure OpenAI and/or Vertex AI (Gemini); experience integrating LLMs through secure, scalable backend services. 

• Experience with vector databases and search systems (e.g., Azure AI Search vector capabilities / Vertex AI Search, Elasticsearch/ OpenSearch vector). 

• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks (i.e. LangChain/ LangGraph, Temporal.IO) and tool/ function calling patterns  

• Understanding of LLM security threats (prompt injection, data exfiltration, jailbreaks) and mitigation strategies. 

• Experience operationalizing GenAI with monitoring and tracing. 

• Understanding of data processing tools: ETL/ELT pipelines (batch + streaming), Data integration patterns.  

• Product oriented mindset.
