Software Quality Engineer III- AI & Agentic Behavior Engineer
Description
Act as a key leader in the development and execution of software quality methods and processes.
Essential Functions
- Develops, executes, and document software test plans using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications.
- Assists with transforming manual test documentation into automated test scripts.
- Presents progress and results of automated testing efforts to appropriate teams.
- Continuously improves upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques.
- Utilizes test standards, procedures and functional specifications for test approaches while staying current on new technologies and best practices.
- Setups/configures/maintains automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Four (4) equivalent work experience in computer support or information technology environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.
Preferred Qualifications
- Develops and executes automated and manual tests to evaluate agentic AI behavior, LLM outputs, and overall software quality.
- Utilizes agentic coding tools to automate testing pipelines, identify bugs, and ensure the safety, accuracy, and reliability of AI deployments.
Skills
AI/LLM evaluation, Test automation via agentic coding, Quality Assurance methodologies, Prompt security, and Performance testing.
Domicile
This is a hybrid position located in Memphis, TN or Plano, TX. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: Pay Range Monthly: Memphis, TN: $6,511.62-$8,627.89. Plano, TX: $6,854.33-$9,081.99.
