Spanish - English Interpreter
Description
Facilitates total communication between Spanish-Only speaking employees and department management. Assures Spanish-Only speaking employees are properly trained and facilitates understanding of departmental and company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties
· Assists in the development of the Spanish-Only speaking programs/activities.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Associates degree/equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Two (2) years’ experience in Spanish/English language interpretation. Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish and English languages, oral, written & reverse interpreting. Certified Spanish-English interpreter or translator.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of Spanish-Only speaking culture and the needs and concerns of Spanish-Only speaking persons. Strong human relations, oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualifications: Must be certified in English Spanish translation. Must have a flexible schedule and live locally within 50 miles. Multiple shifts available. Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled, and wear safety shoes.
