Technical Quality Specialist
The Technical Quality Specialist is a member of the Quality Assurance Testing & Training Team, focused on software testing and validation—not hardware. This role requires comfort working with remote teams, strong multitasking abilities, and minimal supervision. The Specialist supports testing, documentation, and compliance efforts across multiple projects and systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review software and generate reports based on findings.
- Retrieve and validate testing data from Oracle databases.
- Document test results and communicate changes and defects.
- Assist in post-production implementation testing.
- Develop test scenarios and plans based on user requirements.
- Create application test cases and map requirements to test cases (RTM).
- Collaborate with customers and developers to design application changes.
- Manage multiple test projects simultaneously.
- Build internal documentation for knowledge transfer activities.
- Review and sign off on test results.
- Document procedures to standardize and maintain process controls.
- Participate in testing and documentation of FDA-validated systems and ensure 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
- Plan and execute integration testing with customers to meet functional and non-functional specifications.
- Identify gaps between customer specifications and system design.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and/or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years testing experience.
- Quality assurance testing certification preferred.
- Automated testing experience with JavaScript, LeanFT, Cucumber, Gherkin, GitHub, Mavin, CI/CD, Jenkins.
- Microsoft Office experience
- More complex SQL query construction with or without an editor
- Oracle database exposure
- Manual testing experience
- Automated testing experience a plus
- Past experience working in a process driven environment, preferably an environment with a formal SDLC and/or QALC
- Experience processing interface files in XML and EDI format
- Previous business analyst experience a plus.
- Previous project management experience a plus
- Previous logistics experience a plus
- Previous Manhattan application experience a plus
- Previous Red Prairie application experience a plus
- Candidate must have an aptitude and a willingness for self-learning
- Customer service driven
- Strong team player
