POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for designing, configuring, and managing enterprise-level databases. This role ensures the integrity, security, performance, and accessibility of organizational data. The Data Base Administrator (DBA) leads complex projects, provides strategic consultation, and mentors junior staff while maintaining high standards for data storage, access, and recovery.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve as the lead liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and support groups.
2. Design and implement database solutions that ensure performance, scalability, and security.
3. Define and enforce standards for physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security.
4. Configure database parameters and manage data repositories, dictionaries, and warehousing requirements.
5. Perform and oversee backup and recovery operations using Database Management Systems (DBMS).
6. Provide expert consultation across multiple major projects and initiatives.
7. Coach and mentor junior database administrators.
8. Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
9. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location(s). Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. Pay Range: $103,880.00 - $181,790.00 per year
Colorado Pay Ranges: Springfield $103,880 - $181,790; Colorado Springs, Grand Junction $103,880 - $181,790; Henderson, Mead $103,880 - $181,790; Gypsum $103,880 - $181,790
Illinois Pay Ranges: East Moline, Effingham, Kankakee, Lincoln, Quincy, Rockford $103,880 - $181,790; Aurora, Bolingbrook, Chicago Heights, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Forest View, Joliet, Schaumburg, Summit-Argo, Zion $103,880 - $181,790
New York Pay Ranges: Plattsburgh, Buffalo, Watertown, North Chili, East Syracuse, Nichols $103,880 - $181,790; Nichols $103,880 - $181,790; Bethpage, Montgomery, West Babylon $103,880 - $181,790
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four (4) or more years of relevant work experience in an information technology or engineering environment, with a focus on database administration.
• Expert-level knowledge of all phases of data administration.
• Proficiency in database design, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of data security, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Ability to manage large-scale projects with minimal oversight.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex and difficult challenges.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring others.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and enterprise data architecture.
