Sr Attorney - Employment Litigation (CA)
Description
Provides legal counsel and advice to the corporation and its subsidiaries. Ensures their effective operation in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
Essential Functions
- Provide legal counsel, advice, review and direction to various departments and members of management on all levels.
- Ensure company compliance with all applicable federal, state & local commercial regulations & ensure that all legal obligations of the company are properly recognized & carried out.
- Stay abreast of existing & new regulations & review, analyze & provide comments to notices of proposed rulemakings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Juris Doctorate degree from an Accredited Bar Association (ABA). Accredited law school and admission to the bar. Superior academic record.
Minimum Experience
Six (6) years of experience and demonstrated competence as a practicing attorney in a relevant area of law.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ability to determine appropriateness of settlement or litigation. Excellent research and writing skills. Strong negotiation, human relations and communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications: CA‑admitted attorney with superior academics and strong research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills. Experienced in independently handling all aspects of CA employment, wage‑and‑hour class, and PAGA litigation, including responsive pleadings, discovery, law‑and‑motion practice, trials before judges and juries, and appellate issues. Ability to use electronic discovery tools, like Rel 1. Proficiency in using AI tools, like Lexis Protégé, Gemini, Copilot, etc., to enhance proficiency.

Pay: $13,531.20/mo - $18,267.12/mo
Additional Details: This is a hybrid position in Irvine, CA. | Big Law firm experience is preferred.
