Description
Ensures the conduct of legal matters and Provides legal counsel and advice to the company and its subsidiaries with special emphasis on department specific matters
Essential Functions
Provides legal counsel, review, and direction to members of management, Sr. Leadership and various departments concerning areas of expertise.
Advises other members of the Legal Department with respect to area of expertise.
Coordinates, oversees and evaluates the performance and progress of outside counsel representing the company in department specific matters.
Evaluates, determines, and coordinates appropriate action/position/response to be taken by the company to ensure maximum benefit and minimum exposure to FedEx.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Juris doctorate degree and admission to the bar.
Minimum Experience
Twelve (12) years’ experience as an attorney with at least six (6) years’ experience in job specific area of law.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong negotiation, human relations and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred qualifications include filing responsive pleadings, engaging in discovery and law and motion practice, trying cases to verdict before juries and judges, and handling issues on appeal.
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $10,589.64/month - $19,061.35/month Colorado Pay Range: $10,589.64/month - $18,267.12/month New York Pay Range: $11,177.95/month - $19,061.35/month New York City Pay Range: $13,531.20/month - $19,061.35/month
