Sr. Engineering Systems Analyst
Description
The role involves leading major portions of the planning, development, deployment, and technical support of global technology initiatives. Provides business, analysis, business expertise, hosting services, information systems design/development, and project management. Executes and leads the transformation of business processes and operational tools to enable global excellence. Executes and leads the development of innovative technology solutions. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, computer science, engineering, information systems, or other quantitative discipline plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience in a minimum of three (3) of the following areas: Application architecture/design, application software development, application support, application maintenance, BI technologies, business area expertise, communications planning/development/execution, data backup/protection strategies development/execution, Data strategies/implementation, data warehousing techniques, database design/implementation, disaster recovery/business continuity planning, ETL design/development, process evaluation/improvement, project monitoring/control, project planning/scheduling, prototype/wireframe development, requirements elicitation/management, server configuration/maintenance including hardware/system software/applications, Short-burst training video design/development, software test plan development/execution, system performance monitoring, Technical documentation development, technical support-hardware/software/network issue resolution, user interface/user experience design, user documentation development, or user research. Special Requirements
The position requires experience with: Java programming language, UNIX shell scripting and Publisher/Subscriber design model; UI Frameworks; Utilizing Backend End technologies; Software development and testing methodologies; Application and Logs Monitoring; Utilizing DevOps and Cl/CD lifecycles. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, and planning and organizing abilities. Strong ability to collaborate when working with team members, business areas, systems users, and technical developers. This position will be hybrid in Orlando, FL and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week. Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.
