Sr Enterprise Architect
Description
Lead long range planning for the structure/interaction between the business strategy, organization, and business, application, data and technical architectures.
Essential Functions
- Advanced experience with Enterprise Architecture tools such as LeanIX and Sparx EA.
- Responsible for translating business needs into architectural solutions—both current and target state—while defining technology-driven approaches to complex business problems, including solutions leveraging AI/ML where applicable.
- Lead the overall architecture of enterprise systems, ensuring scalable, secure, and future-ready designs that incorporate modern capabilities such as predictive analytics, NLP, and intelligent automation.
- Determine integrated architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements across distributed and data-intensive ecosystems.
- Deep knowledge of the Azure cloud platform, including Azure Functions, Azure App Service, AKS, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure AI/ML services such as Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and OpenAI model integration.
- Experience with cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, data protection, governance, and compliance.
- Expertise in event‑driven and streaming architectures using technologies such as Kafka and Flink, supporting real-time analytics and AI-driven insights.
- Lead establishment and implementation of enterprise standards and guidelines, architecting solutions that integrate emerging platforms, operating systems, and AI/ML components across the organization.
- Strong awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies, including advancements in AI, machine learning, MLOps, and intelligent data platforms.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with modern API design and development (REST, GraphQL) to enable seamless integration of applications, data services, and AI/ML pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, query optimization, and the data engineering foundations necessary to support high‑quality AI/ML solutions.
- Experience with serverless computing and low‑code platforms to accelerate delivery and innovation.
- Knowledge of DevOps and MLOps practices and tools, enabling continuous deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of both traditional and machine learning workloads.
- Provide architectural guidance and conduct reviews for strategic implementations, ensuring alignment with enterprise principles, responsible AI practices, and technology standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of architects, engineers, and data scientists to deliver robust, high-quality solutions that maintain architectural integrity and support long-term enterprise goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of project planning, technical architecture, and business strategy.
- Excellent communication skills.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree, in computer science, engineering, information systems and/or equivalent formal.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.
Domicile Information
This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
