Sr Financial Analyst
Description
To use financial and analytical skills to provide ongoing measurement, guidance, and decision support to management and to support the achievement of company financial and strategic goals.
Compiles, analyzes and evaluate financial and operational data and distribute reports and supporting information on topics such as monthly operational performance, productivity, staffing, trends, variances, cash management, revenue, expense, and capital. Present and review information with management. Prepare and input financial activity into the general ledger and other financial systems, including standard monthly entries and monthly close. Ensure accuracy of financial information and maintain supporting work papers. Perform work related to journal entries, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, eliminations, financial statements, tax, capital, leases, asset management, a/p, audits, testing, and other areas as assigned. Gather, prepare, and analyze data from multiple financial and operational systems to produce insightful analyses that support management decision making and company projects and initiatives. Effectively summarize and present analysis, conclusions, and recommendations. Review financial data, systems, plans, and reports for self and others for completeness and accuracy, resolve problems, and ensure timeliness of completion. Search for and implement process improvements and provide training and guidance to others. Keep abreast of changes in standards and procedures. Develop, communicate, and adhere to company financial policies. Use, develop, and maintain processes, information systems and software, and use advanced financial analysis, data management, and modeling techniques. Produce forecasts, business plans, and long range plans that incorporate current and historical information and that align with company financial objectives. Lead or participate in special projects driven by current company needs or business conditions.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business or a related quantitative/analytical discipline. MBA or cpa preferred. Five years professional experience in financial analysis, financial planning, reporting, business consulting, project management, information systems, accounting, audit, or operational analysis. Experience in transportation or customs brokerage industries preferred. Self-motivated, independent, and strong attention to accuracy and detail. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizaational, financial and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications: This is role variable remote, with some work from home opportunity and some in the office work, dependent on company policy. On-site requirements will report to our facility in East Point Georgia.

Additional Details: Finance experience in Forwarding/ Customs Brokerage and experience using CargoWise and supporting CargoWise users strongly preferred.
