Sr MX Planner
Description
Receives and reviews all incoming aircraft/engine work scopes from Propulsion Forecasting & Planning or Base Planning. Develops hangar/shop work scopes to accomplish the assigned maintenance tasks then monitors aircraft/engine progress.
Essential Functions
Reviews open items and EO/EA assignments to ensure tooling, special skills, and parts are available to accomplish the work.
Monitors and adjust plans for changes in maintenance schedule to ensure optimal utilization of available manpower.
Provides the daily production plan and chairs a daily production call upon completion of maintenance, coordinates with Aircraft Records to make aircraft/engines are serviceable.
Powerplant Shop- Facilitates shipping of engines and APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) both domestic and international.
For Production Planning- Acts as a liaison with long range planners and hangar operations to monitor & adjust the induction schedule based on facility space and available manpower.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in a technical discipline such as: aviation business management, maintenance technology/engineering, or A&P license.
Minimum Experience
Four (4) years aircraft mechanic experience, or five (5) years related experience in an airline, repair station, manufacturer or military environment accomplishing one or more of the following aircraft maintenance tasks: instruction, task planning, and/or scheduling, modification planning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have experience in maintenance manuals and FARs.
Preferred Qualifications: Airframe and Powerplant License, technical program review and experience with program management are preferred.
