Sr Regulatory Trade Specialist
Description
The Sr Regulatory Trade Specialist role includes researching and developing specialized services for customers to assist them in complying with import/export requirements and regulatory agencies.
Essential Functions
Provide technical expertise in preparing trade documents related to import/export documentation and coordinate the elimination of commodity restrictions and prohibitions worldwide
Identify additional regulatory or documentation requirements to ensure legal transportation of commodities and develop corrective actions to ensure compliance
Analyzing penalty trends and initiating measures to protect corporate liability against future penalties
Collaborate with marketing to coordinate and develop the features of service requirements and research regulatory issues related to new services
Develop and implement customer support programs for specialized movements and provide specialized import/export expertise to support account executives
Responsible for developing and disseminating global requirements, processing, and worldwide regulatory documentation requirements to ensure system integrity and legal fitness.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of U.S. Customs entry requirements.
Federal regulatory agencies concerning import/export control requirements.
Effective analytical, human relations, communication, and Microsoft Office suite skills .
Technical global expertise in the areas of transborder prohibitions, restrictions, documentation requirements, and import/export regulations.
