Description

Leads a multi-site regional security program focused on protecting people, assets, and brand integrity. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, managing urgent incidents, and leading investigations into workplace violence, fraud, and losses. Acts as liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, oversees on-site security technologies, and provides executive protection, when needed. Tracks key metrics, mitigates risks, and trains business partners as security subject matter experts. Applies Quality Driven Management to improve practices and deliver innovative solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads a comprehensive security program responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our People, Assets, and Brand across multiple FedEx locations.

  • Encompasses strategic security planning at specific location(s).

  • Key responsibilities include security risk assessments, response to urgent security matters, lead investigations into incidents involving potential workplace violence, security breaches, losses, fraud, or integrity concerns through thorough interviews and evidence reviews.

  • Serves as liaison with law enforcement and governmental regulatory agencies to support investigations and compliance efforts.

  • Analyzes security data to identify trends and develop actionable insights.

  • Develosp, implements, and monitors security plans and technologies, including surveillance cameras and access control systems.

  • Provides executive protection services as needed.

  • Tracks and reports on established key security program goals and metrics, and addresses gaps or physical security concerns.

  • Functions as the department’s liaison to coach and train business partners, and peers on security matters, serving as a subject matter expert.

  • Partners with other security professionals and managers to develop and/or facilitate programs to support business objectives, corporate programs and peer development.

  • Provides guidance in the development and execution of regional security plans.

  • Collaborates with operational business partners and other stakeholders to develop strategic plans and actions to reduce security incidents such as customer losses and workplace violence.

  • Supports manager on leading team efforts.

  • Applies Quality Driven Management (QDM) tools and processes to challenge current practices and deliver innovative solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Initiates in-person/on-site visits with customers as needed to review and formulate action plans related to various security shipping concerns, including but not limited to lost, pilfered and/or damaged shipments. 

  • Maintains a broad and thorough knowledge base across all regulatory areas, to include TSA and FAA, company policies, and IC/ISP agreements.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree/Equivalent in directly related field. Related fields may include corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation or supply chain loss prevention, loss analytics.  
 
Minimum Experience   
Four (4) years related experience required in corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation or supply chain loss prevention, and/or loss analytics. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong interpersonal communication, writing skills, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of Microsoft based computer programs and the ability to prepare detailed reports. Ability to complete required training programs. Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle.

Job Conditions
Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.  If required to carry a firearm as part of job duties, subject to random drug testing.  Works in an industrial environment and must adhere to all safety considerations. Travel may be necessary.
