Description

Performs complex analysis of Contractor Driver Administration and Settlement (CDAS) Systems and is reponsible for escalated settlement investigations to determine root cause issues.

Essential Functions

  • Leads cross-functional teams to analyze data obtained for Disbursement Control Oversight Exception process to determine root cause of over/under payment, fraud, compliance concerns with Internal Controls, Line Haul, independent Service Providers operating agreements.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and input for system improvements to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Serves as a contact and administer for various programs including, but not limited to, Invoicing, Period Safety Incentive (PSI), Customer Service Incentive (CSI), Enhanced Contractor Customer Service (ECCS), and Service Provider Safety Compliance (SPSC).
  • Ensures Project and Portfolio Manager Requests (PPM) are within the scope of project, are clearly defined, approved, and have a documented management level sponsor.
  • Develops and executes job aids, testing and implementation to corrects system problems and implements new programs. Tasks include, but not limited to, making recommendations, writing complex Project and Portfolio Manager Requests (PPMs), designing report formats, and testing CDAS for new program design.
  • Investigates, explains, adjusts invoices regarding payments/charges, ensuring the invoice is within the terms of the contract. Updates and maintains related databases and systems to support purchase transportation programs.
  • Oversees and initiates working teams in regards to Settlement related projects, provides fact based conclusions to management to resolve settlement/ CDAS related issues.
  • Defines and tracks success and accuracy metrics for the project to ensure FedEx Quality standards are enforced.
  • Develops and implements solutions that significantly improve the internal control environment and enhances the departments Control Self Monitoring (CSM) program.
  • Creates new efficiencies in order to improve and streamline major department functions, reducing manual processes and improving the overall control environment.
  • Troubleshoots system issues as they relate to CDAS and the programs associated with it. 
  • Provides back up support for various programs and account reconciliations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.

Minimum Experience

Four (4) years experience required in Finance, Account Payable or business administration related field required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.

Knowledge of Visual Basics for Application (VBA) coding, SQL, and/or Data Mining.

Working knowledge of PeopleSoft System required; data analytics tools, i.e. Spotfire required.

Ability to effectively provide instruction on process and practice within the department.

Strong time management, organizational, multi-tasking and verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of general accounting principles.

Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.

Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.

Ability to develop effective methods for tracking and monitoring data or information.

Job Conditions

Some travel required.


Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of CDAS system, Experience with Peoplesoft or other ERP systems, Ability to effectively create/write reports, analyze data, make recommendations, and query from various database systems

Pay Transparency:

Pay: This position pays $28.25 an hour. This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
