About the Team:

The team leads complex and critical projects, ensuring successful application rollouts across multiple domains, programs, and value streams. They serve as expert resources, guiding the ongoing evolution of a portfolio of applications and collaborating closely with enterprise-level architects to align with overall IT strategy. The team also introduces new application development technologies and resolves high-visibility, complex problems.

This role will be instrumental in Global Clearance IT for FedEx on a global scale. The ideal candidate will be passionate about architecture, technology, and project execution, with a strong sense of accountability and decisiveness. They will contribute to the broader FedEx Architecture team, building strong, trusting relationships with peers, the development organization, and internal customers.

The candidate will have experience delivering globally scalable solutions that ensure reliability, security, speed, and intuitive user interfaces. They will be skilled in effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and adept at weighing technical, architectural, and business trade-offs.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate within a SAFe/Agile team, understanding the impacts of changes in software development methodologies on both Business and IT organizations.
  • Manage enterprise projects and associated dependencies across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Apply software design principles and configuration management techniques to develop and maintain applications.
  • Lead web development efforts and ensure adherence to application programming and database design standards.
  • Collaborate across Opco and/or regional boundaries to develop Board-level strategies and plans.
  • Work effectively across multiple international geographies and Opcos to align teams with common strategies, processes, and tactics.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to represent strategies, concepts, processes, and dependencies through textual and graphical means for Executive and Senior VP-level visibility.
  • Deep knowledge of software design principles, application programming, and database design.
  • Strong Understanding of Database Technologies.
  • Strong Java & SpringBoot experience for Integration & Deployment
  • Analytical and critical thinking ability with a focus on Monitoring & Reporting


Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $9,208.38 - $16.575.08/month
