This is a departmental posting. All eligible candidates must currently report to Sriram Krishnasamy's organization. Candidates who do not currently report to Sriram’s organization will not be considered. 

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Sr Strategy Planning Analyst supports the project lead with the organization's strategic plans. The IT Contract Management (ITCM) team is responsible for the management of strategic, enterprise-wide hardware, software, and cloud vendors. As a member of the team you will manage the acquisition of products and services from assigned IT Vendors and be responsible for ongoing administration of the Vendor including: business planning support, invoicing, reporting, and be the SME for the Vendor’s contracts and licensing. The ITCM team works closely with IT Technology Owners, IT Asset Management, TBM, Finance, Sourcing, and Legal. This position reports to Steve Laster, Mgr IT.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of all purchasing agreements for assigned Vendors including primary responsibility for management of acquisition projects to meet contractual or organizational deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the Vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor vendors and agreements to ensure adherence to contractual terms and conditions and identify, report, and mitigate risks and compliance concerns.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting on contract status and Vendor relationship.
  • Identifies and validates demand for products and services from stakeholders throughout the enterprise.
  • Assists in the development of business cases and financial and costing analysis.
  • Conducts external research and quantitative analysis as required.
  • Identifies, researches, analyzes and makes recommendations to support the organization's growth objectives.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of business plans against objectives.
  • Coordinates communications with internal and external partners and ensures all deliverables are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years work experience in information technology or business environment including project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement, or market/competitive analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·       Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical and critical thinking ability with time management and management skills.

·       Strong negotiation, communications, and human relations skills.

·       Knowledge with financial analysis, purchasing processes, and vendor management.

·       Experience with large IT Vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, ServiceNow, and Dell.

Domicile Information: This is a hybrid role based in Memphis, TN. The ability to work remotely from anywhere within the United States may be considered based on business needs. Candidates who live within commutable distance of a FedEx corporate hub may be required to work a hybrid schedule.
