Sr System Programmer

Description

Under limited supervision, develops, modifies, and installs, tests and maintains operating systems software.

Essential Functions

• Responds to issues related to environment, hardware, system and/or software and executes disaster recovery procedures across technology areas.
• Frequently leads large projects.
• Provides guidance to those in less senior positions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of software and engineering principles. Strong basic management, human relations, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in an Enterprise environment using Microsoft Technologies, Microsoft.NET and SQL Server.
