Description
Job Duties
Maintains plant electrical/electronic controls, systems, equipment, and associated components. Diagnosis, modifies, calibrates, tests and adjusts, and ensures proper operation of sort systems/equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Associates degree in electrical/electronics, computer technology, or equivalent technical experience.
Minimum Experience
Four (4) years’ experience as an industrial electronics technician with a background in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or material handling systems mx. Troubleshooting experience with analog & digital systems, motor controls, variance frequency drives, & programmable logic controllers required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of scanning technologies, micro- computers, LANs, & closed circuit tv systems preferred. Thorough working knowledge of blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulics, pneumatics, structural diagrams & able to interpret diagrams. Ability to obtain an industrial mx electrician (limited license). Willing to work odd work weeks, o/t, var workloads, holidays and rotating shifts. Able to lift 50 lbs & maneuver heavy sort systems related components, parts, & equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good inter-personal, written, & oral communications skills. Able to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing or climbing at heights above & below ground level.
Job Conditions
Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Valid driver’s license required.
