Sr Technician/Electric
Description
Job Duties:
Performs repair and maintenance task for all electrical and electronic FedEx facilities and equipment; to maintain all electrical equipment to national, state or local codes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma/GED
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years journeyman experience, of which 24 months being as a FedEx technician (electrical), or 24 months of maintenance experience on similar equipment/systems in a commercial/ industrial electrical maintenance. License requirements are per the local authority having jurisdiction.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Valid driver's license required. Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures. Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavy facilities related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground. Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Job Conditions
Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be willing to work odd work weeks, overtime, holidays and rotating shifts.
Preferred Qualifications: Position requires a Shelby County Journeyman Electrician License.
