Straight Truck Driver DOT/CDL
Description
Drives straight truck to designated locations and operate mechanized loading/unloading equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
Six (6) months FedEx Express experience and a Class A license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
Job Conditions
Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Additional Job information
New Straight Truck drivers will go into our spare pool after getting their license. They do not have a set schedule. They may be required to work 1st or 2nd shift. After six months new Straight Truck drivers are eligible to bid on open shifts.
