Supervisor, A/R Billing
Description
Supervises the maintenance of Accounts Receivable records and processes for the purpose of decreasing Days Sales Outstanding. Responsible for customer billing, credit, collection, and the proper application of receivables. Proposes process improvements and system enhancements in order to maintain a "state-of-the-art" accounts receivable center. Ensures company's risk is limited and that excellent customer service is provided. Actively communicates with collection, credit and cash teams to ensure one consistent A/R approach is maintained. Provides leadership, coaching and performance management for their team. You will uphold the Purple Promise by making every customer experience outstanding.
Essential Functions
- Supervises and coaches billing, collection and cash application agents to ensure accurate billing and timely collection of receivables while maintaining customer satisfaction and adequate productivity.
- Oversees the entire collection process while monitoring customer credit and collection status to ensure appropriate speed of recovery and consistent DSO results.
- Ensures internal controls, policies, and procedures are maintained and challenged on an on-going basis.
- Oversees the balancing of General Ledger accounts associated with the Accounts Receivable team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma required
Minimum Experience
2+ years of credit & collection associate management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills Intermediate project management skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
- Effective verbal and written communication with customers and team members at various levels.
- In Depth knowledge of credit and collection processes.
