Responsable du mouvement des remorques vers et depuis les portes de déchargement/chargement et dans toute la cour. Peut également être responsable du chargement, du déchargement et/ou du tri physique des colis à la main, y compris le levage, la poussée, le tirage, le transport et le placement, de manière sûre et efficace.
This is an interview position.
Responsible for the movement of trailers to and from the unload / load doors and throughout the yard. May also be responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner.
COMPÉTENCES REQUISES
Diplôme d’études secondaires ou scolarité équivalente.
Posséder un permis de conduire valide et un bon dossier de conducteur.
Six (6) mois d’expérience en tant que manutentionnaire de colis ou en tant que placier souhaitable.
Dans la province de Québec, il faut être bilingue (français et anglais).
En plus des fonctions essentielles ci-dessus, il peut également être nécessaire d’exécuter les fonctions essentielles du gestionnaire de colis comme suit :
Utilise les méthodes «de la main à la surface» pour toutes les manipulations de colis.
Charge et décharge les colis à l’intérieur ou à partir des véhicules de livraison, remorques, chariots et chargements.
Soulever, porter, pousser et retirer les colis sur une base continue et répétitive pour des quarts de travail approximatifs de deux à quatre heures.
Détermine le système de convoyeur approprié en scannant les colis, en lisant les étiquettes et les graphiques, en vérifiant les numéros et en mémorisant les informations et en triant les colis en conséquence.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High school diploma/educational equivalent.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
Six (6) months of experience as a package handler or switching/CDL operator experience preferred.
In the province of Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English)
In addition to the above essential functions, may also be required to perform Package Handler essential functions as follows:
Utilizes “hand-to-surface” methods for all package handling.
Loads and unloads packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyor system carts and load gratings.
Lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages on a continuous and repetitive basis for approximate shifts of two to four hours.
Determines the appropriate conveyor system by scanning packages, reading labels and charts, verifying numbers and memorizing information and sorts packages accordingly.
