Systems Administrator
Description
Under limited supervision, analyzes the requirements to determine the hardware, system configuration, performance and capacity needs for system-related operating systems improvements and business integration.
This position will provide infrastructure and administrative support to the FedEx Enterprise Mobile Device Management(MDM) environment. This team member would be part of MDM team that supports the mobile software deployments and mobile infrastructure for FedEx that supports operational devices and knowledge worker devices worldwide. The team is based in Memphis, TN and Moon township, PA (Pittsburgh) and the team has flexibility to work remotely as needed. Under general limited supervision, they will provide system analysis, troubleshooting, organization and effective communications. They will lead configuration management, system administration, security administration, network administration, development system implementation, and production systems implementation. This team member will also ensure security and reliability of systems through the application of patches and firmware updates on a regular basis. They will also support activities related to capacity planning, system design and configuration, change management, outage management, application release support, and project management.
Essential Functions
- 3+ Years or more experience using MDM administration platforms for WorkspaceOne
- Experience Upgrading WorkspaceOne certificates for tunnels, applications and servers.
- Experience with Apple DEP and Android Enterprise to manage operational devices.
- Excellent teamwork, organizational skills and time-management.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with multiple teams and build relationships
- Design, test and configure infrastructures and solutions for various applications and configurations.
- Utilize strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, or other system issues.
- Develops infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools using configuration language and scripting tools.
- Identifies and creates processes to integrate technological improvements into business processes.
- Responsible for projects including the implementation of remediation activities, patch management, and firmware updates in a highly complex environment.
- Provides Level 3 technical support in critical production support issues interacting with Developers and Architects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training.
Minimum Experience
Two (2) years equivalent work experience in computer support information technology environment, and desktop computing along with the ability to apply basic computer concepts, theories, principles and methods to projects, business problems, issues and/or questions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Mobile device security experience and certifications
- Mobile application security with Multi-Factor-Authentication
- Mobile email management with O365
- Linux servers and Windows servers management
Domicile Information
This position can be domiciled in Memphis, TN. or Moon township, PA. on a hybrid basis.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: $4,881.62/month - $8,461.48/month
