This is a multi-level positing for Tech (General) and Sr. Tech (General) positions.
M0024: Sr. Tech (General)
Job Summary
Maintains and repair all FEC facilities and facilities related equipment; maintains all pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- High school diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
- Four (4) years experience, of which 24 months as a FedEx technician (general), or 24 months of maintenance experience on similar equipment/systems, in a commercial/industrial maintenance environment with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and mechanical systems maintenance with heavy emphasis on properties and facilities maintenance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in areas of facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, general and related skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Good interpersonal and oral communications skills.
Job Conditions
- Non-covered safety sensitive position.
- Must be willing to work odd work week, overtime, holidays and rotating shifts.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver heavy facilities related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
- Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
M0014: Tech (General)
Job Summary
Maintains and repair all FEC facilities related equipment; maintains all designated electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing and mechanical systems in accordance with established FEC maintenance procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
- Three (3) years experience in a commercial industrial maintenance environment with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and mechanical systems maintenance with heavy emphasis on properties and facilities maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures.
- Valid Driver License required.

Domicile Information: This position is a full-time, onsite role in Newark, NJ.
Shift Information: Four 10-hour shifts per week.
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: Tech: $28.62/HR | Sr. Tech: $33.00/HR
