Technical Advisor
Description
Provides technical advice and expertise to systems development project groups in defining, developing, and reviewing existing, as well as proposed applications, for major computer systems; coordinates the activities between users, technicians, computer, and communication networks.
Essential Functions
- Skilled in one or more programming languages used by FedEx.
- Strong human relations and communications skills. If position is in mainframe environment, also requires complex systems experience on IBM operating systems or microprocessors. Knowledge of software engineering principles.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in computer science, math, or other directly related quantitative degree.
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years related development and programming experience.
Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects.
LMS experience. If position is in client/server environment, also requires systems development experience.
Must include experience with distributed systems.
Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development, or case tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Preferred Qualifications: •End-to-end analysis ownership: Able to frame ambiguous business problems, design right analytical approach, & deliver clear, actionable insights •Strong programming & data wrangling skills: Proficient in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) & SQL; comfortable working with messy, large-scale datasets from multiple sources •Modeling & inference: Experience building & validating predictive models (e.g., regression, classification), & applying statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, causal inference)
Pay Transparency:
Pay: U.S Pay Range $7,094.23/monthly -$15,607.31/monthly
Additional Details: This position may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week
