Description

Under general supervision, develop high level design and detailed design deliverables to meet business requirements/specifications.

Essential Functions

  • Code and unit test.
  • Develop or contribute to deliverables for additional levels of testing and support test execution, including system level and integration tests.
  • Resolve production problems of low to medium complexity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualification:

  • Proven experience in Java development (2+ years preferred). This is a development role focused on designing and developing Java-based applications, with opportunities to collaborate and learn from experienced developers and industry experts.
  • Basic understanding of the Spring framework for application development.
  • Basic understanding of Agile software development methodologies and practices.
  • Interest in working with test automation tools, as this position may involve developing test automation alongside application development.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Eagerness to learn and explore Microservices architecture.
  • Experience with producing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience or willingness to learn AI and Machine Learning frameworks and tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, Hibernate, and querying.
  • Experience with or interest in Android development.
  • Axon Framework experience or exposure to event-driven architectures, Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) and event sourcing.
  • Curiosity and willingness to engage with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Background in Object Oriented Design, Domain Driven Design and Development principles.
  • Some experience with test automation tools.
  • Enthusiasm for gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology and innovative projects.
  • Desire to be part of a supportive and inclusive team environment.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems, and/or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of Operating Systems software applications.

Ability to offer debugging solutions and troubleshoot advanced computer issues.
