Job Description
The Manager of Technology Simplification is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective strategic planning, prioritization, governance, and execution. This leadership role will ensure that strategies are identified to move FedEx to a more simplified technology ecosystem, breaking the strategies down into value bundles, and ensuring plans are executed with the right level of oversight and governance. This individual must possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, ability to execute at scale, a professional presence, and a comprehensive understanding of technology and business processes across the FedEx enterprise. Some travel required.
Essential Functions
- Leadership and Strategy: Develop, organize, and execute strategies to simplify the FedEx technology ecosystem that will contribute to the bulk of Data and Technology DRIVE savings in FY26 and FY27.
- Team Management: Lead and drive a multidisciplinary team of technical professionals, program managers, and others providing guidance and support.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with leaders across the Data and Technology organization, architect community, portfolios owners, finance, external partners, and many others to enable decision-making, ensure alignment, and cross-portfolio execution.
- Governance Oversight: Oversee and facilitate governance forums, ensuring the appropriate level of rigor and visibility during execution.
- Communication: Provide updates to all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership, and escalate risks and issues as necessary.
- Execution and Monitoring: Ensure execution plans are developed with the appropriate level of detail and monitored through delivery.
- Influence Business Decisions: Use fact-based information synthesized from structured and unstructured data to influence strategic business decisions.
- Facilitation: Lead workshops, meetings, and ceremonies to remove barriers, improve collaboration, mitigate risk, and ensure the free flow of information between all impacted stakeholders.
- Standardization and Tooling: Drive the consistent use of the FedEx operating model standards and tooling to ensure solid execution and accelerated value delivery.
- Decision Making: Maintain a preference for action over inaction when faced with incomplete knowledge and/or limited data sets.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact the program's success. Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to minimize disruption and maximize adoption of new technologies and processes. Develop communication plans to inform stakeholders about the modernization program and its impact. Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate a smooth transition.

Domicile Information: This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States with a preference for Collierville, TN . The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business needs.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, math or directly related quantitative degree or related field.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years systems development experience which includes programming. Skill in one or more programming languages. If position is in mainframe environment, complex systems experience on IBM operating systems or microprocessors required. Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects. IMS experience. If position is in client/server environment, systems development experience to include distributed systems is required. Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools. Experience in the technical design and development of major client/server projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of software and engineering principles. Strong basic management, human relations, and communication skills.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $9,208.38/month - $16,575.08/month
