As a Research Fellow focused on the user experience, you will help set the strategy for user research and will work closely with our UX designers, digital product managers, and developers to provide actionable insights that drive the design and development of our digital portfolio. As a Fellow, you will be a thought leader, using your skillset and creativity to move the organization forward on our digital journey.

Essential Functions

  • Develop a consistent strategy for Usability Research across FedEx
  • Establish a Research COE across all types of research
  • Oversee critical cross-departmental digital research efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user research into the design and product development process
  • Lead and execute user insights projects, and conduct statistical and quantitative analysis on results
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations and reports
  • Explore machine learning models to solve critical business problems and optimize processes
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts to communicate findings effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX research and design
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Design, Business, or related field

Minimum Experience

Seven plus (7+) years’ experience in UX research, design thinking, or related discipline, related to projects with ambiguous changes and a highly collaborative environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of UX research methodologies and tools
  • Experience conducting user testing
  • Superior problem-solving skills as well as the ability to act on ideas autonomously
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Preferred experience leading a research COE
  • Preferred experience setting up a holistic design research practice
  • Preferred experience improving digital CX and satisfaction


Preferred Qualifications: •Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide UX Research strategy, with measurable impact •Strong change management & influence skills •Prior team lead/managerial experience •Experience working in agile environment collaborating with cross functional global team •Ability to synthesize findings from multiple research projects •Experience with tools like Qualtrics, User Testing, Adobe Analytics, & PowerBI •Demonstrated commitment to staying updated with latest design trends, techniques & technologies

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $10,589.64/month - $19,061.35/month

Additional Details: This position may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week
