POSITION OVERVIEW:
Serve as a key enterprise leader responsible for FedEx Freight’s capital markets strategy, liquidity, and investor engagement, ensuring strong governance, market credibility, and financial resilience

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead FedEx Freight’s enterprise Treasury and Investor Relations organization, encompassing cash management, capital structure, retirement investments, and risk management

Serve as the CFO’s primary advisor on financial markets strategy, liquidity planning, and shareholder engagement

Establish and lead governance, controls, and reporting frameworks to ensure transparency, accountability, and financial resilience

Direct the development and execution of the company’s capital structure strategy, including revolving credit facilities, term debt, and equipment financing and lead engagement with credit rating agencies and investors to communicate financial strategy and performance

Collaborate with senior business leaders to develop corporate development opportunities in a progressive, systematic and routine fashion

Oversee implementation of the Treasury Management System, ensuring seamless integration with Oracle ERP for payments, reporting, and forecasting

Lead setup of independent banking structures (U.S., Canada, Mexico), including Pay-on-behalf-of (POBO) models, bank account governance, and signatory controls

Manage retirement and pension investment portfolios, ensuring prudent governance and regulatory compliance and lead corporate insurance programs across property, casualty, and executive risk lines, optimizing coverage and cost

Evaluate and execute other strategic initiatives such as joint ventures, divestitures, licensing and partnership activities

Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in accounting or finance-related field, plus ten (10) or more years of combined experience in accounting, financial reporting and audit including five (5) years demonstrably successful management experience.
  • Deep expertise in cash and liquidity management, capital markets, banking infrastructure, and credit ratings
  • Strong background in debt financing, working capital optimization, and corporate risk management
  • Proven track record developing and articulating investor communications strategies tied to company performance and market positioning
  • Skilled in Treasury Management Systems ERP integration, and digital banking platforms
  • Exceptional executive presence and ability to build credibility with investors, lenders, and senior leadership
