Warehouse Manager - Dangerous Goods
Description
To direct and promote continuous improvement and best practices in all aspects of Distribution Operations, under the direction of the Distribution Operations Manager. Support Air & Ocean Container Freight Station (CFS), Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), Distribution, Crossborder and all Interdepartmental Distribution Operations. This is achieved through meeting internal company Key Performance Indexes (KPIs), exceeding customer's service expectations, all the while operating in a safe and company compliant manner.
- To plan, organize and control the input, movement, process/sort, and output of the operations to ensure a high level of service and quality at a minimal cost.
- Responsible for selecting, training, and developing a staff of 1 to 7 direct reports, in conjunction with the overall responsibility for a staff of 1 to 40 indirect reports.
- Oversees the administration of generating approximately $0.5m to 3.0m in annual revenue, depending on product(s).
- Ability to manage extreme fluctuations in business volumes, coordinating personnel, space and equipment to maintain customer satisfaction and minimize operation costs
- Ability to plan and manage large special projects that encompasses meticulous work and up to 40 temporaries
- Direct procedures for the proper inventory and storage of over 50 clients merchandise where there is 25,000+ SKU’s in accordance with customers standards, company policy and any applicable laws or regulations
- Instructs employees with/on methods to instill a service-conscious attitude, and minimize service failures.
- Maintains contact with customers (internal and external) with regard to conditions affecting the service level of area served.
- Develops/reviews cost for all Distribution Operational activities.
- Conducts meetings to provide employees with daily information regarding division/operation, health and safety awareness; and applies consistent administration of disciplinary procedures
- Maintains accurately all required inventory/reports/paperwork, payroll, performance reviews, and personal record statistics through established paperwork guidelines.
- Ensures cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities and supplies
- Oversees with the safety and security of the distribution inventory and safety of associates by complying with all related government regulations including: OSHA, state and local fire department, US DOT, hazardous materials, Customs Border Patrol and Homeland Security regulations.
- Oversees safety methods and programs are implemented and maintained. Instructs employees with/on methods to instill a service-conscious attitude, and minimize service failures.
- The incumbent(s) of this position is expected to perform all other related duties as assigned.

- Minimum 4-Year degree preferred/ equivalent in business
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in business experience in Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, or International Freight Forwarding, or Transportation Industry
- Advanced knowledge, understanding and familiarity of various International and Domestic Distribution Operational activities
- Minimum 3 years management/supervisory experience required.
- Excellent management, human relations, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Strong knowledge of safety awareness within an operational division
- Strong knowledge in WMS-EDI within Distribution industry
- Strong sales and business development skills preferred
- TSA Certified to operate within a CCSF if applicable
- Advanced knowledge, understanding and familiarity of all aspects of CFS and FTZ Operations (site specific) preferred
- Advanced knowledge, understanding and familiarity of IATA, IMDG and 49CFR DG Regulations preferred

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: 6,706.12 - 12,724.41 USD Monthly
