Warehouse Shipper Receiver
Description
The role of the Shipper-Receiver is to offload trailers using a forklift, stage and accurately record shipments on the drop shipment log. There is also the responsibility ofswitching trailers and setting up the trailer yard as required.
Essential Functions
- Unload freight from trailers using forklift Scan freight and log using control sheet .
- Stage freight in the Warehouse Separate various types of freight (vali-invalid)
- Switch trailers as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Ensure Warehouse is clean, including tidying of the skids, supplies and shelves.
- Perform SWAK tests daily
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- High school diploma or its equivalent
Minimum Experience
- Experience in a warehouse, preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Forklift license
- Ability to be switcher-certified
- Valid Provincial drivers license
