Logistics Workflow Analyst

Job summary
This role is responsible for maintaining and improving product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans impacting production, distribution, and inventory. It creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management and ensures continuous product flow from vendors to customers for both inbound and outbound functions. The position enhances order workflow using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and manages outbound volume demands by balancing teammate capacity with customer orders.
Primary responsibilities
- Monitor WMS: Assess Warehouse Management Systems to determine optimal order waves that maximize workforce efficiency against outbound volume demands.
- Resolve workflow inefficiencies: Identify and correct issues between inbound and outbound shipments.
- Root cause & corrective action: Investigate planning concerns, determine root causes, and expedite corrective actions.
- Accurate communication: Ensure complete and accurate information is communicated to teams executing the work.
- Systematic planning: Use WMS to analyze and plan orders in accordance with the planning schedule.
- Prioritize & monitor workload: Track daily work to ensure timely completion and fulfillment of customer requirements; maintain records for inbound/outbound deliveries and develop strategies to resolve discrepancies.
- Shift planning & scheduling: Plan work to be completed each shift and schedule all outbound orders in company systems.
- Coordinate order processing: Collaborate across systems and personnel to ensure efficient order processing.
- Yard-to-dock flow: Direct the movement of vessels between the yard and dock doors.
- Other duties: Perform additional tasks as required by the supervisor or manager.

General qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 0--2 years of related experience.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical: Strong understanding of sorter control software.
- Equipment: Familiarity with materials handling and radio frequency equipment.
- Computer skills: Basic PC skills required.
- Microsoft Office: Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
- WMS: Experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
