Workflow Planner

Schedule - G Shift: Monday to Thursday from 4:30PM-3:00AM
Position Summary
The Workflow Planner is responsible for maintaining the continuous flow of product from vendors to customers, specifically across the picking, shipping, and receiving functions of the facility. This role ensures product safety, quality, and legality while coordinating daily operations and supporting customer service and inventory accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Schedule all inbound and outbound orders in company systems.
- Investigate and report shortages; initiate corrective actions.
- Request approval via email to cut product when necessary.
- Coordinate order processing across systems and personnel.
- Direct the flow of trailers and containers between yard and dock doors.
- Prioritize and monitor daily workload to ensure timely completion and adherence to customer requirements.
- Report urgent loads to appropriate management personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound deliveries; assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare outbound paperwork and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with customer service to ensure smooth order flow.
- Ensure complete and accurate information is communicated to the next shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 0--2 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with material handling and radio frequency (RF) equipment.
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work with urgency and flexibility to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented and strong team player.
