Application Architect

Description

Under limited supervision, define processes, and create project level architectures for specific applications. Working with business and data architects, evaluate products and projects to ensure congruency with strategic initiatives and industry trends. Provide technical advice to resolve production problems. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience.

The position requires experience with: Advanced cloud platform experience and administration (PCF, Azure, GCP). Experience overseeing the design and implementation of using knowledge of patterns and techniques used to design and build software applications. Maintain and updates architecture for cross portfolio multi-application systems. Knowledge and familiarity with global supply chain operations and procedures. Deep knowledge of microservice architecture and administration. Advanced knowledge and skills around GitHub actions and automation of CI/CD activities to maintain code quality, identify and fix security vulnerabilities, and Dev Sec Ops. Proficiency with distributed tracing, logging, monitoring, and alerting. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Position can telecommute from home from any location in the U.S. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education. *
