Job Summary

Responsible for leading and designing the implementation of technical solutions with a focus on automation, integration/interoperability of applications, services, and infrastructure components to be scalable, interoperable, and extensible. The main goals of the DevOps Architect are to provide a solution to business problems using technology, a leadership mindset, solid operational experience, and accuracy of technical implementations. Additional goals are to provide support of the implementation of software solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying and documenting technical/functional requirements; and ensuring that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget.

Job Description

• This position is responsible for supporting the vision and use of work management, resource management, and portfolio management tools and driving user adoption through the introduction of innovation and continuous improvements within the toolset.

• Candidates should have experience in building, connecting, and administering applications and services in complex and high-quality environments to support IT and Business operations. Candidates should have experience with cloud environments and their PaaS and IaaS offerings and using agile methodologies at the team level.

• This position will also be responsible for finding and implementing architectural patterns, understanding and defining the interaction of tools and services, determine and carry-out the best way for code implementation which meets business requirements, throughput, and observability patterns, determine the format of data storage and transmission.

• Candidates should possess an understanding of software development, software configuration management, build, deployment and release management, application lifecycle management, infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps tools and processes.

• Advanced knowledge of DevOps within an agile / scrum environment.

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) especially application services, functions/lamdas, serverless architectures

• Practical and deep hands-on experience with RESTful APIs including implementation, monitoring, securing, observing, and guaranteeing throughput using different protocols and tooling.

• Practical knowledge of scripting in different languages, such as PowerShell, JavaScript, or Bash.

• Practical and hands-on knowledge of SQL and NoSQL implementations, schema development and maintenance, report generation with PowerBI or Excel.


Preferred Qualifications:

In addition, the DevOps Technical Principal will be responsible for implementing modern quality strategies to include Test Driven Environments (TDE), automation-first approaches to regression, performance and pre-production testing, and Canary/blue-green testing. Artificial Intelligent quality practices are essential to include AI-assisted test case generation, impact analysis, anomaly detection (in both test results and production behavior).          

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable application releases.

• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.

• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of production systems.

• Collaborate with software engineers to optimize application deployment, observability, and runtime performance.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues.

• Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

• Enforce security best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and runtime environments (DevSecOps).

• Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and architectural patterns to improve operational efficiency.

• Establish and document operational standards, runbooks, and best practices.

• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior DevOps and platform engineers.

• Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, cloud services, and industry trends.


Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent work experience
