Description
Leads design strategy across a portfolio of products or a critical user journey, blending systems thinking with strong execution. Drives cohesive, scalable experiences across teams while elevating design quality, influence roadmap prioritization, and ensuring that design decisions align with user needs and business goals.
Essential Functions
Defines design strategy and north-star experiences for a platform or major product area.
Leads cross-functional discovery and strategic alignment sessions.
Partners with product and engineering leadership to drive holistic customer outcomes.
Evolves and scales design systems, patterns, and tooling infrastructure.
Mentors senior and mid-level designers; raises the bar on quality and consistency.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recognized champion of human-centered design, with a history of driving the appropriate application of its methods and principals across a broad organization
Proven thought leadership and authority in the design space, including experience mentoring cross-functional teams and leadership in human-centered design methods and practices.
Proven ability to collaborate with researchers, other designers, product managers and engineering to shape problem spaces and ideate solutions that improve the user experience
Extensive expertise in facilitating innovation labs, design sprints, and co-creation workshops that frame complex problems, generate concepts, and move teams from insight to action
Experience generating and obtaining support for innovative ideas based on market dynamics, customer feedback, and technology trends
Experience creating, maintaining, and promoting the use of human-centered design toolkits in collaboration with design operations teams
Ability to build positive cross-department relationships with peers and leadership. Actively facilitates alignment across organizations, and seeks different perspectives
Strong strategic influence, systems-level thinking, collaboration, communication, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated experience with design, wireframe and prototyping tools, including Figma.
Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX work, including problem framing, research, journey mapping, wireframing and visual design
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. In lieu of a degree, nine (9) years of practical experience may offset education requirements.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years in product, UX, or digital design. Experience guiding platform, ecosystem, or multi-surface design. Proven track record designing and shipping large-scale experiences.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong strategic influence and systems-level thinking. Skilled in balancing user needs with technical feasibility and business impact.
Job Conditions
Some business travel may be required.

Additional Details: This position is eligible for remote work & may be located anywhere within the US excluding AK, HI & U.S. territories, however if you live within the 50 miles radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times a week
