Job Description Summary:
- Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, validation and management of corporate security and physical security programs and initiatives within their assigned region, which encompass multiple state areas and 150+ operating locations. Conducts and documents investigations, audits and surveils operations to protect company personnel, brand, customers, shareholders, business operations, assets and prevention of losses resulting from fraudulent activity or behavior.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the security programs that are consistent with company policies, procedures, and criminal / civil laws to protect company assets and minimize loss exposure
- Develops, implements, and manages security awareness programs that contribute to the prevention and reduction of fraudulent losses while promoting team member safety and security through the workplace violence prevention program
- Initiate investigations based upon the analysis of loss trends, internal reports and input from other informational sources
- Develops and provides security reports and other documents designed to familiarize regional leadership teams with the on-going security/loss prevention activities and initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security experience in the trucking and freight forwarding industries preferred.
Work/Domicile Location(s):
- This position will be hybrid in Memphis, Tennessee or Dallas (Plano), Texas and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
Relocation:
- Relocation assistance may be available based upon business needs.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience:
- Five years of investigative experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in multi-site Security (Loss Prevention) environment where duties were focused on investigation of fraudulent activities, Security audits and development of security / loss prevention awareness programs & presentations.
- Formal investigative and interview training (Reid / Wicklander & Zulawski or similar instruction / training in the investigative interview process).
- Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting point of sale systems, computer based databases, financial reports and legal documents.
- Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, law enforcement, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
- Knowledge and experience with security system (burglary, duress and CCTV) installations and operation.

- Ability to travel as required in order to meet with customers, vendors, other team members, and/or other business necessities, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, to function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure, and to work within the appropriate level of independence
