As an Industrial Engineer within the European Network Routing Data team (VISA EU), the role also ensures the effective design, configuration, and monitoring of routing and manifesting systems, providing accurate routing, reporting, and data visibility to support network operations and compliance.

What will you be doing:

Our data routing systems were developed to support international shipping by ensuring international AWB data is provided to the appropriate clearance and sort systems at the correct clearance points within destination countries. The system also supports transit sort locations, enabling customs clearance, security declarations, and the generation of accurate manifests for international flight and truck movements, helping avoid overages, shortages, delayed shipments, and supporting on-time delivery performance across the network.

You will act as a key technical expert supporting complex operational and system-related activities across transportation and data routing processes. You will work closely with management and cross-functional teams to analyze information, solve problems, drive process improvements, and support projects that contribute to broader business and operational goals.

Manage and maintain routing and transportation system configurations, ensuring alignment between system setups and physical transportation flows across air, road, and commercial transportation networks. You will play an important role in assessing operational needs, implementing routing changes, and helping ensure compliance with international security, customs, and transportation requirements.

Partner with operational, planning, development, and support teams to coordinate changes, improve internal tools and processes, and support testing and implementation activities for new solutions and enhancements. You will also create reporting, metrics, SOPs, and job aids that improve visibility, support decision-making, and help standardize ways of working across the team.

Support a highly collaborative environment by sharing knowledge, delivering training, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to network optimization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple transportation modes and business areas.

What do you bring with you:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess operational scenarios, interpret data, and identify opportunities for process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Good attention to detail and accuracy when working with system configurations, reporting, operational processes, and compliance-related activities.

Effective planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively across teams, and adapt to changing business needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to collaborate with stakeholders, present ideas clearly, and support training or knowledge-sharing activities within the team.

Previous exposure to logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with data analytics, reporting tools, scripting/programming, or process automation concepts is also a plus for candidates interested in operational improvement and technology-driven solutions.
