LM429: Security Advisor

Description

Involves providing unique, high impact, technical or expert advice to directors or officers within a region or internationally. Advisors can report to a Manager, MD, VP or SVP as required.

General Job Description
Loss Prevention, Enforcement & Investigations, Travel Security & Executive Protection, Security Customer Management, Security Guarding, Contracts & Management. Provide technical expertise and support to the risk assessment of shipments of interest and mitigation of risk on a global basis.  Conduct complex research and analysis using all-source information focused on threats to FedEx Express operations worldwide.  Prepare analytical products and conduct briefings for FedEx Express personnel and staff.   Identify shortfalls and information gaps and maintain analytical relationships with multiple partner agencies.  Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with computer information systems and a working knowledge of the Mexico classification and handling standards for classified material.  Monitor real time global events, research new technologies, methodologies, processes, procedures, and products that could achieve major/superior security improvements to FedEx operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
•Bachelor’s Degree/Equivalent with a strong emphasis on Political Science, Criminal Justice, International Studies, and Intelligence and Security Studies.
•Accreditation: Specific Business Accreditation. Equipment, Certifications in Use of Specialized Equipment/ or Subject Knowledge as locally required

Minimum Experience:
• Five to ten (5-10) years of related work experience. Minimum three (3) years Law Enforcement/Airline Security/ Military related experience.
