Description

To lead the development and execution of quantitative analysis, provide quantitative analysis and program management expertise to management in forecasting, market segmentation, competitive intelligence, market/customer analysis, business analysis, financial analysis, financial modeling, engineering planning, and decision support utilizing advanced computer-modeling techniques._x000D_

Uses financial operations data to measure, analyze, and project profit-and-loss, return-on-investment, cash flow, capital justifications, risks, and benefits. Evaluates new business opportunities, competitive analysis, and intelligence. Provides quantitative and qualitative analysis of industry, customer, and competitor situations in markets of interest to FedEx. Analyzes market, operating, and financial data to develop recommendations, improve operational and financial performance, and drive decision making. Develops statistical reports to forecast, analyze and track FedEx shipping behavior. Identifies economic impact by customer and may be required to develop tools/systems to support internal customers and/or functioning of the ASD.

Bachelor’s degree/Equivalent in finance, economics, marketing analysis, computer science/information systems, project management, or related analytical fields. MBA or MS in appropriate discipline preferred. Five (5) years of professional experience in finance, marketing, business consulting, engineering planning, information systems consulting, project management, or similar quantitative business analysis. Micro/Macro economics and financial theory (or) strategic marketing theories/techniques (market research, strategic models) (or) industrial engineering/planning theory (or) computer science/information systems theories/techniques (or) project management best practices. Knowledge of computer languages (SQL, VB), computer database or information system development. Strong quantitative/data analysis skills or business analysis and requirements definition skills in support of information systems development. Strong analytical, project management, human relations, and communication skills. Required strong oral and writing English language skills. Preferred English and/or Portuguese language skills.
