POSITION OVERVIEW:
Manages the design, development, and support of IT systems. Oversee daily IT operations, ensure Operational Excellence, service reliability, and lead technical teams to deliver scalable and secure software solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manager, lead and develop professional IT staff, coordinating daily IT operations, applications, and support.
2. Lead system analysis, software development, and implementation of projects.
3. Collaborate with business units with business focused mindset to align IT services with organizational needs.
4. Ability to work with cross functional teams in product driven agile environment.
5. Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to software developers, supporting skill development, effective delivery promoting cross-functional collaboration.
6. Demonstrate ownership, accountability, responsiveness, and follow up on tasks with minimal/no supervision.
7. Ensure system uptime, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
8. Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and systems thinking.
9. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new IT initiatives.
10. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. Pay Range: $116,600.00 - $204,050.00 per year

Illinois Pay Ranges: East Moline, Effingham, Kankakee, Lincoln, Quincy, Rockford $116,600 - $204,050; Aurora, Bolingbrook, Chicago Heights, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Forest View, Joliet, Schaumburg, Summit-Argo, Zion $116,600 - $204,050
New York Pay Ranges: Plattsburgh, Buffalo, Watertown, North Chili, East Syracuse, Nichols $116,600 - $204,050; Nichols $116,600 - $204,050; Bethpage, Montgomery, West Babylon $116,600 - $204,050
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information systems, or related field.
• Five (5) years of system development experience, including programming and technical project leadership.
• Proficiency in software development, systems analysis, and IT operations.
• Proven expertise in architecture, modern technologies (cloud and microservices), and DevOps practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing demands.
• Freight less than truckload (LTL) and truck load (TL) industry knowledge is a plus.

Additional Details: While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location within the continental U.S.
