Description
Oversees the collection and supply of information needed for actuarial studies, executive leadership reports, and insurance renewals and submissions. Leads collaboration efforts with operations teams through the preparation of risk assessments regarding operational opportunities
Essential Functions
- Leads the preparation of data responses to actuarial teams for use in analyzing claims trends and collaborates with actuarial partners on ways to be address problem areas identified.
- Collaborates with internal partners, including safety and operations leadership to strategically address areas of opportunity through actuarial studies.
- Works with the Corporate financial compliance team and Ernst & Young on Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance and audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Eight (8) Years property and casualty experience in claims or underwriting, including four (4) years of risk management or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of insurance policies and risk financing techniques.
Knowledge of claims, risk information systems, and legal applications of risk and insurance concepts. Strong analytical, human relations, communications, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
Ability to lead multiple projects.
Ability to facilitate team meetings and discussions if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: The key functions this position manages include: Insurable/Non-Insurable property claims and subrogation recovery. Digitization of workflows into Riskonnect for Risk & Insurance, including for Bonds, Certificates of Insurance, Property and Aviation claims. Surety Bond program administration for the Enterprise. Certificates of Insurance governance and training (14,000 COIs Enterprise Wide). Supporting Aviation claims and completion of financial controls.

Additional Details: The desired locations for this position would be Dallas, Memphis, or Pittsburgh. However, this position is eligible for telecommuting and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories.
