Description
Act as a key leader in the development and execution of software quality methods and processes.
Essential Functions
- Develops, executes, and document software test ui centric applications as well as back-end services using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications.
- Assists with transforming manual test documentation into automated test scripts.
- Presents progress and results of automated testing efforts to appropriate teams
- Continuously improves upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques.
- Utilizes test standards, procedures and functional specifications for test approaches while staying current on new technologies and best practices.
- Setups/configures/maintains automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting and troubleshoots issues down to root cause.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) equivalent work experience in computer support or information technology environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Develops, executes, and documents automated test cases
- Identify and communicate defects in software
- Assists with transforming manual test documentation into automated test scripts.
- Presents progress and results of automated testing efforts to appropriate teams
- Continuously improves upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques.
- Utilizes test standards, procedures and functional specifications for test approaches while staying current on new technologies and best practices.
- Setups/configures/maintains automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting and troubleshoots issues down to root cause.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Skills/Qualifications
- Experience as a Quality software engineer or similar role
- Experience with Performance Test tools such as JMeter
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels in a major corporate environment including developers, management, product management, etc.
- Familiar with working in an Agile environment (Kanban, Scrum)
- Experience performing regression, performance and end-to-end testing in a large-scale environment
- Experience performing end-to-end testing across multiple platforms including Linux and IBM-i (AS/400)
- Experience using Git and other version control tools
Pay Transparency:
Pay: Memphis ($7,488.36/mo - $12,355.79/mo), Plano ($7,882.48/mo - $13,006.09/mo), New Berlin ($7,882.48/mo - $13,006.09/mo), Orlando ($7,488.36/mo - $12,355.79/mo), Pittsburgh ($7,882.48/mo - $13,006.09/mo)
Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Pittsburgh, PA; Memphis,TN; Orlando,FL; New Berlin,WI or Plano,TX. & candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week. Pay- FEC_E27
