Sr Digital Marketing Specialist
Description
We are hiring a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist GEO/SEO for fedex.com, office.fedex.com, and local.fedex.com. The role combines strategic thinking with strong executional ownership to advance GEO/SEO maturity and performance across global digital properties.
You will partner closely with Web & Digital Platforms (.com), Product, Go To Market, IT, Analytics, Content, and regional teams to support and operationalize GEO/SEO strategy across content, technical SEO, local SEO, and AI driven search experiences.
This role plays a key part in translating SEO and GEO priorities into tangible execution, measurable business outcomes, and scalable operational improvements. The ideal candidate combines deep SEO expertise with a hands-on, delivery-oriented mindset and is comfortable operating in a cross-functional enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Global SEO team to support and execute GEO/SEO strategy for US domains, ensuring the channel delivers measurable business impact, customer acquisition, and revenue contribution.
- Drive execution and optimization initiatives across content SEO, technical SEO, local SEO, and AI driven search readiness in support of broader enterprise objectives.
- Support FedEx’s readiness for AI driven search experiences, including AI Overviews and LLM based answer engines, by contributing to experimentation, signal detection, analysis, and implementation initiatives.
- Work closely with cross functional teams including Digital PR, Brand, Content, Product, Engineering, and .com teams to operationalize SEO and GEO requirements, prioritize initiatives, and improve discoverability and authority across search experiences.
- Collaborate with the Global SEO team to implement and optimize technical SEO standards, ensuring site health, crawlability, indexation, discoverability, performance, and scalable best practices.
- Partner with regional teams to support international SEO frameworks and execution, including hreflang implementation, duplication management, language targeting, and country level SEO alignment.
- Identify, prioritize, and help execute high value SEO opportunities that improve customer journeys, task completion, engagement, and revenue contribution.
- Translate GEO/SEO insights into measurable commercial outcomes by connecting organic visibility and search performance to revenue, account registrations, shipments, customer acquisition, and operational efficiency.
- Establish and maintain reporting and measurement frameworks including brand versus non brand segmentation, conversion tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Develop playbooks, documentation, implementation guidelines, and best practices that help elevate GEO/SEO capabilities and consistency across teams and regions.
- Monitor SEO and AI search trends, algorithm updates, platform changes, and industry developments, proactively identifying opportunities and risks.
- Support testing, reporting, analysis, and ongoing optimization initiatives through a data driven and experimentation focused approach.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of enterprise SEO experience, preferably within a large scale or global organization.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, content SEO, local SEO, and evolving AI driven search experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into executional plans, operational requirements, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate actionable insights.
- Experience managing or contributing to cross functional projects and large-scale digital initiatives.
- Hands on experience with enterprise SEO platforms such as Adobe LLM Optimizer, Conductor, SEMrush, Botify, or similar tools.
- Understanding schema.org, structured data, Knowledge Graph concepts, and search engine indexing principles.
- Experience working with Adobe Analytics, Google Cloud Platform, and Power BI preferred.
- Python and/or SQL skills for analysis and automation preferred.
- Global, multi-market, or multi location SEO experience preferred.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, Business, Analytics, Communications, or related field.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent experience in marketing, finance, computer science, engineering or related business discipline.
Minimum Experience
Three (3) years experience in a digital marketing or digital product management environment or demonstrated knowledge gained through coursework or work experience in digital product management, and technology support.
More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master’s Degree equals two (2) years experience.

Additional Details: This is a hybrid position located in Plano, TX. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week
